Barberia wax was born out of necessity in a very cool underground salon in crown st dalinghurst in the early nineties (the packaging reflects the clubbing/party scene of that time with the tin images drawn by Peter Mac who was responsible for countless club and dance party posters back in the day). The only wax products available in Australia in the early nineties were out of the US and UK and were not suited to Caucasian hair. We wanted something that would smooth hair, keep it straight, smell good and wash out with no fuss. This was acheived this and that’s why barberia wax is still so popular today
